Weyauwega-Fremont High School Steinway Fund
The Steinway 88 keys program gives you the opportunity to directly influence the education of our students.
Every piano has 88 keys. By purchasing a key, your generosity will give our students the opportunity to perform with the world’s most respected concert piano.
The Weyauwega-Fremont School District is a collaborative community of students and educators dedicated to academic excellence and community involvement. Our rural school district of approximately 825 students is located between Appleton and Waupaca. This setting allows our students to practice Midwestern values in a rural community, yet be able to experience cultural diversity within a short drive.
Recognizing the need to offer our students improved opportunities in the Performing Arts, the voters of the Weyauwega-Fremont School District included a beautiful Performing Arts Center as the cornerstone of our twenty-one million dollar referendum. Students will have the pleasure of performing in a venue that is fit for professional performing organizations. ThisPerforming Arts Center will also be available for rent by musicians and groups to bring the community additional opportunities to experience the Fine Arts.
This incredible new addition to our community helps achieve the District’s mission of : “creating a foundation of excellence for success in tomorrow’s world.”
The Weyauwega-Fremont School District currently does not own a piano that is appropriately sized for this new Performing Arts Center space. The purchase of this piano will provide the proper size and quality piano to fill this space. This will allow the many students that participate in band, choir, musicals and the other groups that will utilize this Performing Arts Center to perform at an appropriate level.

We Need Your Help!
We are hoping that the Weyauwega-Fremont community’s continuing generosity will help to cover the purchase price of the piano. Any funds raised above the purchase price would be used for tunings and maintenance of the piano throughout the school year. Additional costs will be covered through the high school operating budget.
The goal is to fundraise a total of eighty-five thousand dollars toward the purchase of the piano and accessories. A twenty-five thousand dollar anonymous donation has been received by the district for the purchase of a Grand piano. The goal of this fundraising effort is to raise $60,000.00 to complete the purchase of the piano, as well as a cover and dolly system.
Funds raised over the purchase price will be put into a segregated account for future maintenance of the piano. Donors that “purchase a key” will be recognized in the new Performing Arts Center space.
Donations of all amounts are welcome and tax deductible. Please contact Business Manager Drew Niehans at 920-867-8812 for additional information
